Maurizio Biondi
Maurizio Biondi was born in 1964 in Melzo (Milan) but at the moment he lives and works in Lecco.
Since 1997 a lot of personal shows are dated, starting from a collective one to Viscontea tower of Lecco, followed in 2001 by personals at Pestalozzi of Chiavenna’s Palace and at Rome to the "The Long hall". In 2003 he obtains the golden medal for the Lincoln Center of New York’s painting, at the Corck Gallery. In 2004, he exposes in Marseille, at the International Hall Of The Contemporary Art, and in Ginevra, at the Europe Art. In 2005 he exhibits in many Italian galleries and comes to the Padua Art Gallery. Since many years Biondi has consecrated to idealized figures of the eternal feminine and the theme of the violin, which symbolicly represent the female’s body and his spirituality.
His technical virtuosity takes him to overcome (exceed) the true and to flow in a unstrained poetry, where the forms become movement and the colour becomes energy. Oil Painted or through mixed techniques of extreme preciousness, in pastel tonality or with infinite shades of grey, these young women, whom sometimes like to try boldness and aggressiveness, belong to an universe out of time, where the atmospheres are full of charm.
